Here's one for you, Gabe. I had one fucking weird day today. So, the Day before. Finally find a place to get my car in. Try to get my flat tire fixed first. They couldn't find anything wrong with it. Today, alarm doesn't go off. Wake up two hours late. Rush outside, find car is iced up. Didn't have a scraper. After trying for an hour with my finger nails and body heat, since my car heater and AC don't work (And even if it did, I have a window that won't roll up), my neighbor takes pity and lends me his scraper. Throw in the directions. They go to the wrong place. Have to find the place by driving like a grandma on 33, reading shop signs manually, cause the phone says my data was turned off, even though it wasn't. Finally get in. Leave the car there, and run over to check out my friend's new apartment. Get a call from the auto place. They couldn't find anything wrong with the first two issues, and for the window, the part they needed was unavailable, and I'd have to go to a junk yard to get it. Suddenly the engine system noise I was hearing every time I accelerated from a complete stop is gone, and the heater works, like it was never broken in the first place. But I'm still getting rained on, which means in the grand scheme of things, I've effectively accomplished nothing today. Is the universe gaslighting me? I'm being real here, this feels like one of those Alternate Reality slips.
