I can tolerate it if they keep it private and keep courteous and retain respect for human being's rights... but as soon as they go out and start flaunting anything hateful... it will be over for us. That happened with one friend who we'd been mutually ok with each other... until he came out as alt-right, and I had to drop him because in addition to his becoming a pedophile, he'd be insulting our mutual friends who were LGBT right in their faces saying how homosexual people shouldn't have the right to love each other, all because he doesn't "agree" with homosexuality. o.e Also had a transphobic friend (who was actually transgender themselves) who I tried to tolerate at first, mistakenly hoping they could be "fixed" if I just introduce them to more diverse people. Long story short, it didn't work. They also revealed their racist side by viciously insulting Black people with slurs and dehumanizing them, in front of my friend group which included a black friend. -_-

My point was, just go back and find more hobbies. You go do them without a plan on finding someone and just have fun. Sometimes other things come if that and other times you just enjoy yourself. Either way, you're helping yourself and no stressing.
