Its already hard to find work for convicts coming out. Making it harder might drive them back into crime and the purpose REAL purpose of prison is supposed to reform.

People can grow coca, too... Just a thought. Well, not legally, in the US Although, weed is nothing. There's A LOT of political reasoning behind it's initial ban, nothing having to to do with it's actual effects. I mean, you can grow and use shroomst too, with little legalities, unless you sell.... It's all politics. Weed was the "ooga booga" monster when it came to racism and part of why it was initially banned. The whole deal was, it was a drug that made black men go crazy for white women(That's what was said of it, too. Not true, of course.). That and hemp in general is a HUGE competition for cotton. Speaking of CBD, not all CBD is THC free. There are good reason, ethically speaking, why some things are illegal and the rest is truly politics.

@momoichi What are we debating here? Is it the separation of "families" at the border? If it is then it has been something that has been going on since at least 1997. Those rules don't change unless there is a bill that gets passed changing that. So if a prosecution happens right now with an adult with a child then a separation will happen under Biden unless new border legislation is passed. If we don't see a bill that Biden signs changing the procedure, then the procedure remains the same.

@dyadka_yar my claim was that the majority of the influx of immigration since April last year had been unattended to children, which is why these kids are being housed alone in facilities children are separated at first, but reunited afterwards. trumps policy didn't do this not because they were separated like righties and lefties are screaming. biden isn't separating families like trump did.
