People living with their parents/parent

momoichi
i agree with midas on this, its pretty much the normal of this generation it doesnt change my opinion on them (well depending on age and relationship with their parents) aslong as they have moving out as a priority over time infact it could be seen as a plus, because theyr saving their money (well id hope they are) they are most likely more financially stable when they do move out now, if you have no job and are living with your parents (ie myself xD) thats an issue >w>

True. True. I know that it is hard for some people to go out on their own after not being able to afford college or apply for loans. So they, like you said, can save up money and provide for themselves. The situation certainly has it's positives and negatives.

I don't think something like this should even be a bother to people. Nowadays it's rough for anyone to have their own place alone these days so a lot of guys and girls still live with their parents whether they want to or not. I'm one of those people who doesn't want to. Although if people start dating, going out and get to point of having big plans in the future then I feel that would be the perfect time to move out because then you can split the finances 50/50 from your workplaces and still have plenty of money to spare. That is if you're both working of course. So yeah, don't knock a lovely girl or guy just because they live with their parents because chances are they don't want to and are probably looking for the ideal partner to move out and find their own place with.

I *completely agree with Monsoon, I share the same sentiments

Living with parents is okay if that person is mentally independent from their parents. I mean they can make their own decisions rather than rely on their parents to make important decisions concerning life or do all things their parents hope they do. For example, their pet phrase is "my mother/father said: "...Can they think on their own lol?... Here in China, many guys still live with their parents even after they get married...Often, their wives will conflict with mothers-in-law because mothers-in-law don't like the women who land their beloved sons...certain complexᵎ(•̀㉨•́)و....you know...

@Monsoon 100% agree with everything you said. @Enki Huh, that's basically the opposite of here. The world really is a funny place, isn't it?

It doesn't bother me one bit, because I don't necessarily see the rush in buying a house and I feel like I can relate to some who live with their parents. Like... if I took out a loan and got a house, let's say, and I'm making payments. I later decide I don't like living in this area... damn, what a waste and hassle to now sell this house while I'm still paying off a loan, not cool. Apartments are literally just a sinkhole, you aren't gaining anything but a place to stay and owning a house is typically better in the long run. Living with my mom, I'm able to save so much money, but it's not like I live here 100% free. My brother and I basically pay all the bills, so it helps our mom who is currently in debt, yet it's still cheaper than an apartment, so why just burn away all that money? I can focus on saving money, building credit, make investments, and just get a house later when I finally have a reason to.

I must add in a little something... Renting is the way to go (Well, it is currently for me.). Something breaks? Ain't my problem, that's what maintenance is for(Have literally saved thousands by not having to repair leaks, replace carpet, buy a new whole house A.C. unit, repair or replace any faulty thing that'll inevitably break or need repairs overtime.) Want to move? Boom! Ready to go as soon as tomorrow(Technically need thirty days notice, but moving is many, many times easier.). Home owners association? Ha! Can I remodel? Nah, but I'm not wanting to settle where I live. Renting is always good. Living with parents? Well, just don't be a moocher who expects that it's A OK to just loaf on mommy and daddy's dime(Seen too much of that shit and it irritates me to no end. It's one thing to save money, but atleast have achievable goals that ARE being worked towards and don't be dependent upon your parents for everything from a roof over your head, to the toilet paper that wipes your ass, as if they owe you. Independence is a big thing for most after a certain age. Just opinions from someone who has much to learn in this thing called life.
