Agreed yass and Choco. Humans keep trying to make others feel inferior to something that doesn't actually matter in the first place. It's really bad when it's a via social media, cuz most humans have access to that without effort. So in the end they see all these shallow views just so a corporate of jacks**es can feel empowered and take it too seriously. If a mass majority of us just stop going to such media and word of mouth that empowerment would have died by now instead created a messed up web of inferiority and ego boosters.

Competition between peers has always been around, even in medieval times. People would flaunt their status with expensive clothes, who was in their inner circle, and what they have accomplished in feats of strength or endowment. That's a part of how humans socialize. What people need to accept is that at the end of the day, it is fun and games. You celebrate your friend's victories as much as your own. But like you say, there are those jackasses who have a psychological need to feel superior to people. Unfortunately nowadays, it's just as much an incentive to make money as far as corporations are viewed. When people are happy and confident in their ability, they're actually less likely to buy things they don't need. (There's an asterisk there. I mean in instances where you buy something because you think it will bring value to you, not in instances where it provides you with some form of entertainment.) That's also why there's no real incentive to change our diets to prevent type 2 diabetes, which is a problem most humans aren't even supposed to have. Don't tell me NNN has you very hardened? Yeah. Shopping impulses, and items that makes one feel like something till it loses its social value. I remember that part of medieval statuses. Even now humans do that with the "in items", "in fashion", and expensive jewelry.

@VerucAssault I agree that offline can work, but as you noted for introverted people (I'm one too when it comes to RL) who are anime/gaming fans, offline dating isn't a realistic option. Especially in Western PA. The women here are mostly into outdoor stuff like camping, sports, fishing, hunting, quad riding, etc. and I'm up for some outdoor stuff occasionally, but it's not my main thing. Add to that I want a non-smoker because I really don't like cig smoke and ya my odds are right up there with finding a RL purple unicorn grazing outside my home. Except I'm pretty sure I'll meet that unicorn before my next gf. I could go to a dance club/bar, and based on clothing items/appearances attempt to ascertain which women there are into anime and/or gaming and maybe I'll get hella lucky and find one who is single and within my age range. But that's not a realistic expectation. Idiocracy! Omg that was an awesome movie and YES, it really is upon us! I don't think it'll take 500 years to hit the bottom of the IQ barrel at the rate we're going heh.

Alright, alright! I confess I know the truth as to what happened to the women. They're all dating me and have agreed to join my harem. No need to thank me. Trust me fellas, most of these ladies are real ear talkers. Can't get um to quit yaking! Let's not even get started about "their" needs. One was bad enough, but 347,892,914 girlfriends is a logistics nightmare. Can't ever get out of bed without tripping over them. Think it's time to revert back to the single life.
