Oh no, no! It's not that I'm having trouble deciding that...I actually enjoy writing the filler scenes and characters doing mundane everyday stuff. I just suggested doing a time skip so that way I can actually focus full force on the moment the main characters loved one gets diagnosed with Dementia by a professional ^^, so its not that I'm stuck with something I feel boring or anything.

@wei_ying when I was writing I would get stuck at those parts too. You would have these really cool scenes that you want to get to but you gotta get through boring bridges to get there. Here's what my writing professor in college suggested to me. You can do one of two things: write the really interesting scene you want to get to first. Then you can either decide to just weave a time jump just covering the major stuff that happened up to that point at the front of the new scene, or you can just brainstorm for something else interesting that can happen in between the two plot points, like a sub-character going through some kind of crisis.

Arc @arc Oh, it's good that you like writing the more low energy scenes. I always struggle wanting to go to the major scenes and I find it a lot harder to write the minor scenes. I guess that's why most of what I write ends up being a short story, haha

I feel like it's the opposite for me XD, I feel like I enjoy writing filler/simple stuff a little too much, usually whenever I write stories they are 2k+ words because I don't know when to stop writing XD. I also don't think I have an issue writing the major stuff as I have an ongoing story (50k+ words) that's part angst and fluff/humor, I actually have been told by people the view the story that the angst tends to hurt more because I write mundane or silly stuff. Sometimes I wish I could write shorter stuff *insert sweat drop face here* which is one of the reasons I think I stall my writing for so long (my schedule is horrible), it's cause I know I'll write forever and some reason that bothers me (at the time), I guess?

I actually already do the editing and beta reading myself XD. I don't really have the means (or guts) to ask anyone to look over my stuff for me...especially as I just write for fun, I don't want to waste anyone else's time on something I just do randomly. And I've been writing for a couple years now :3. I'm not claiming it's any good! I agree and always feel I have plenty things to work on, but despite whatever I think, the people who read and review my stories seem to enjoy the work I did for fun so that's always nice to see. ^^ Thank you for the advice and input though, Ruca-senpai! ❤️

Write more and don't commit to anything. Be open to making changes later on. Plus if it's something you ever want to publish, there's always editors that can help you make it more cohesive. The more you write, the better you get at it, the easier editing things yourself will get.

Oh no! She didn't die, but he had to finally send her away to the vet/shelter cause our house rn doesn't allow pets inside. I can't imagine what it's like though having an animal of yours actually die though, and thank you, Ya-Ya.

Love is love, no matter the species. Lost my furry friend on Valentine's Day of this year. I went through a lot during the years I had her and she helped in ways that she'd have no way of understanding. I get it and the death of ANY loved one is difficult. Condolences.

Spoopy Mommy ® @wei_ying Yeah, our neighbor is going to be fostering her, but we are supposed to be moving. And we are moving out of the area where the dog is in, I would totally buy the dog myself for him if I had the money...but I don't at the moment.

Spoopy Mommy ® @wei_ying But, it is what it is, and I reassured him that this was great training for when he gets a dog of his own. ^^
