Chocopyro @chocopyro I actually branched into empathy through medium and energy channeling. And one thing I wish more empaths knew how to do was project their emotions to calm others. Instead, every natural empath I meet dwell in negative emotions and blame their powers because none of them know how to turn off "Sponge" mode. If only more people were around to teach empaths basic psionics.

PucaetGniliasEht @thesailingteacup I need that class! I try to put out the energy of love, but I think that it often can't be absorbed when someone is in a sad state.

Chocopyro @chocopyro Love is a very alien emotion to us in today's society, and it's hard to even register without a Dimethyltryptamine dose from external stimuli. (The chemical reaction you get when receiving a hug or a "Like" on facebook.) It's strange, but you kinda have to practice with love to even be able to recognize it. You might want to start by bringing them to more grounded emotions first, while reinforcing that energy with love. If you wanna talk more about this kinda stuff, feel free to message me.
