For sure, I can never think when my emotions are in the fight or flight scenario but Ive been doing kinda better lately. Little things add up both negative and positive so I've mostly been in the positive side

This. 100% This. Whenever I feel bad about myself and depression kicks in, I look back on how myself and life has changed in just a few years. Keep doing what you enjoy, understand where you want to improve yourself and commit to small bits of development at a time. And you'll be surprised how far youngo in a short time. ♡

That's fair

It's not my fault XD. There usually isn't more pretty character creations like this one.

I just wanna run away, delete everything, leave no evidence about myself, change my number or toss my phone in the ocean and just start a new.

Gabriel @gabriel_true I'm grieved that you're having a rough go of it. It pains me to see you're struggling. If talking helps I will listen. Be well, Joe!
joemama711
Under The Mistletoe @joemama711 I'm just hoping next months aptitude test goes well, I've been considering quiting Kroger and doing UPS seasonal support drive but it's like 40 min drive from me which is a pain ngl
gabriel_true
Gabriel @gabriel_true UPS seems to be what many people are recommending in my area. You have to work for then a couple years to become a driver, but they're a union company so you get a pension when you retire plus the pay caps out at $40 per hour.
joemama711
Under The Mistletoe @joemama711 True assuming you get in or stay after peak season is over though I talked to a UPS driver and he said it's spread out over a 5 year term so it's up in the air
gabriel_true
Gabriel @gabriel_true Unfortunately so.
joemama711
Under The Mistletoe @joemama711 Im trying to fix my diet and lifestyle up a bit so I don't get as depressed and feel like nothing's there for me.
gabriel_true
Gabriel @gabriel_true I support healthy lifestyle choices and it's worked well for my nephew. Just make sure you remember what you're already successful at. It may help to keep a journal of accomplishments you're proud of as a way to counter any thoughts that are intrusive. If nothing else I've enjoyed our conversations and know you are more than capable of being great! Keep in mind you can and should be proud in who you are, Joe!
joemama711
Under The Mistletoe @joemama711 I'll try journaling in my notes app, thank you for the suggestions and the positive reinforcement Gabe, Its a pleasure when we get to talk and I enjoy your mindset. Lately I've been trying to be more distant and not use social media or interact that much with people online. I have bad habits of being too dependent on them and I'm stopping that now.
gabriel_true
Gabriel @gabriel_true I see a number of folks have been doing that as well. Of course you know I've also been on and off for prolonged periods of time to handle personal affairs. If you need to step away then that is a valid decision. Only be mindful that there are people who do want you to be well no matter where you are in the world or what you're life's path leads to.
joemama711
Under The Mistletoe @joemama711 I do appreciate the people that check up on me and I hope the best for yourself as well Gabe.

I know most companies do unfortunately run with bottom of the barrel instructors. If it makes you feel any better I got literally 1 week of training before I had to take my first DMV road test. I failed the first time trying to do the Reverse Offset which is kind of a combination of Parallel Parking meets Alley Docking. Essentially you start parallel from where you need to park, but you have to enter at an angle similar to Alley Docking until at the last second you end up parallel again. It's a pain in the butt and my instructor literally said, "I'm showing you how to do this once and that's it!" True to his words he sat in his car and texted for the rest of my training week. To make matters worse I had only 5 hours of actually being on the road. Every day I spent 8 hours simply memorizing the Pre-trip part of the exam and I had that memorized by day 2. So I really only needed help with Reverse Offset and making sharp turns on narrow city streets. That said I literally prayed to Jesus Christ for assistance and made use of every online resource to prepare for my second attempt. I barely passed, but I got my license. Glory be to Him because as you know first hand the instructors aren't of any use, but to take a paycheck and bounce.
