@trahecreations Actually, they do have cheese. I've had it with many foods at different restaurants, even with more traditional Japanese food. Of course, you can buy it at convenience stores or supermarkets as well. And out of the three times I've been to Japan, I've rarely smelled fish anywhere. Not everything is expensive. It's definitely good to budget and learn to cook for yourself, often in small places, but there are plenty of cheap ways/plays to eat. There's actually quite a bit of English, but learning Kanji (at least the meanings) like you said is REALLY helpful. Books like Remembering the Kanji will help you get a head start on learning just the meanings, even before you get into learning any of the readings. Also, @animeage - don't worry too much about the western foods. Try as many Japanese foods as you can =]

When life fucks me over dry ... I distance myself from things and live it till I accept it... Its not like o completely move on... I remember how fked up I and I choose to carry on.. just like wise ol rafiki said.. The past can hurt. The way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it.

He needs to obviously understand that being hungry isn't a cake walk. Just let em know that your stomach was growling because you forgot to pickup something for lunch. It shouldn't be a no brainer for him really. Other then that, Just continue on talking about anime and such. He'll eventually forget about it, Nothing major.

I have seen the episode of twilight zone where it was so hot that people were going crazy and I have seen the one where everyone thought the man on the plane was crazy because there was a gorilla on the airplanes plane tearing it up when no one was looking. ٩(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و my family was watching it one day in the living room so I joined them. but that's only the few I remember right now, I haven't seen it in a while.
