Native VS. Interracial

π_π Obviously, the vast majority of us aren't Japanese or have Japanese heritages on this planet. :D So apologize to Meister-san, mina! We all owe him apologies, non-Japanese~~ Don't take Asian women you come across in the USA Japanese, their parents are probably from other Asian ethnicities QAQ, like Chinese, Korean, and Filipino, you know:D

This has been a bizarre thread straight from the start with the opening for the thread. There were definitely a lot more ways to say this in a way that it doesn't sound like you're just gung-ho for a Japanese woman because of very superficial reasons, which I'm not saying you are but the way you put it sounded really off that can give that impression. Anyways for my response, being that I'm Asian (I'm not going to mention what specific ethnicity) I would really like to meet a girl that is also of that same ethnicity because: 1. Our parents are likely to be similar and so we would have a lot easier getting along due to commonalities of values and traditions 2. I want to be able to celebrate the same holidays and eat the same traditional food I've been used to 3. I have a lot of neat ideas that stem from that Personally, appearance-wise I don't care too much as long as she fits close to the above. I can relate to the idea of it being hard to find someone who embodies the above where I am because it's a lot more common to find someone who was raised by discarding their traditions since often parents from my country are escaping for refuge and dedicate themselves to being Americans as much as possible. Bottom line I just want the commonality of values, gestures, and respects that I grew up with.

There is a lot of grey area in japanese for example and what I am about to say is true my great grandma was born in Japan but she is african she grew up with the culture and married a man who caught her eye while he was visiting japan and moved here then they had my grandma (the man was native american who married my great grandma) and then so on and so forth till I was here yeah baby me so When you say "japanese " people who WERE BORN in Japan and have the genes flowing through then are japanese so tenically I am japanese even tho I may not look like it :>

@hakutaku ありがとう(*´ω`*)。*♪ I agree. My mother told me her mother's side has a bit of Mongolian. Even one of her brothers looked like an Asian baby when he was little. I even found a Japanese woman looking similar to his daughter. And she's nerdy like me and knows otaku media. I heard the earliest precursor of the hamburger was recorded in Mongolia. My teacher originally from Okinawa even has many things in common with my mother. They are like twin sisters to each other( *´艸`)

But Ryukyu was an independent kingdom 2 centuries ago, it and its inhabitants became "Japanese" simply because it got invaded and annexed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryukyu_Kingdom

@hakutaku Correct! My teacher told me about its history in few words. It became Japan's land for being a very good place for agriculture. One of my friends who's originally from there told me women there are the hardest working women of Japan.

Wow, reading page one you guys sound pretty shallow. Why should a woman's focus being family and children be a big, appealing plus point? Sounds like you just want a woman who will stay at home keeping your house like a 1950s housewife. You're also dumb if you think Japanese women aren't looking at money/stability. English teachers get a good enough wage, and that makes them appealing to many young women, also it's a talking point. They get to show off their foreign boyfriend and brag to their friends. They're as 'shallow' as any other women, just about different things. I've also seen at least three occasions of unexpected pregnancies leading to marriage...just saying.
