Someone once said, "If you build it they will come." https://i.ani.me/0370/4448/1000008492.jpg But if that were the case then why are there so many abandoned buildings in this world?

Last night I was looking at an ultra sound of my orange cat Leo. There was blood in the litterbox and he stopped eating and became lethargic so I took him to urgent care. The specialist showed me on the ultrasound that his kidneys and liver had cancerous masses on them. Stage 4 cancer. All within the course of a week he was healthy. He was sick. And then I put him down. He wasn't even 8 years old. I've posted a lot of pictures of him here on the forums but there won't be any new ones. First putting down our dog one month ago, now putting down my cat suddenly. My emergency money is gone from a string of very bad incidents, I'm in a temporary financial hole for the first time ever, but you know what? I took the day off and did some chores outdoors while his body was being transported to the crematorium for the next step. Life is never going to be easy all the time. Sometimes you will be thrown into chaos, but there are always aspects of your life that you can control, no matter how small. All relationships crumble to dust eventually, some suddenly. Everything in life is transitory, so you should be too. Just keep pushing forward until you see those easier times again.

Steel is beaten, folded and beaten again , over and over before it reaches it's full potential as a mighty sword. These moments shape our core or at the very least, they proof it. For without pain how should we then know peace? The strength gained from a resilient soul bares the scares of a tumultuous life. So soon this too shall pass, but know this... You are stronger for going through the storm and surviving with a resilient heart. May the love that was continue in a saddened heart.

I have to say I'm surprised to hear they offered to cremate. In all my years with pets that have died, even dogs, I have buried all of them. Then again I also have always lived in an area where we had the land to do that. I suppose those without that luxury would benefit from cremation. Either way, my condolences for your loss, Arc and Veru.

@arc Death was only the beginning for me. Lost my twin brother and my grandfather in the same year. But what you say has been my experience as well. While I was playing up a comical downward spiral, truth was, I was growing. Pain absolutely is transitory. When I outgrew the pain, others started to take notice. There I was in The Pump House bar and grill, Lithopolis Ohio. Dowsing rods at my hip. Not there to be a ghost hunter, just there for a bite to eat. Bar tender asks me what I'm in town for. I tell her I'm a psychic medium trying to find a connection between the Lithopolis Stone Query and the Canals. Her eyes light up brightly. She starts unloading about all the experiences she has had at the tavern. Cook runs in and joins in on the discussion. So I set the burger down, and I brandish the copper rods. I explain how they work, and I ask my brother on the other side how many are there. The rods start to spin. One, two, three, they keep spinning until we reach a count of nine. The pair of workers start going crazy and throwing questions left and right. I do such a good job at answering them that the cook runs in and calls the answer. The bartender calls up her fiancee who goes on to explain an experience in his previous house. Taps of three, voice mimicry, doors knobs rattling. I ask if the door knobs are iron or brass. He responds that he things they were brass. Everything he describes is a perfect example of an elemental/Fae haunting. I explain to him that three is a number of manifestation in magick, and that fae occasionally use this trick to manifest in the physical spectrum. He seems impressed with my answer. Cook comes back and explains that the owner of the Pump House wants me to return on friday because he also has questions for the spirits there. This is what the other end looks like. When the strength you attain from loss starts to fall into place. Suffer constructively. For healing is a counter intuitive process.
