If you love anime, do a astral projection or have a lucid dream...

I don't know if you're trying to lure information out of me, but you could also learn psionic energy manipulation and go off to launch energy attacks at negative entities in the etheric spectrum if all you want is that epic shounen anime experience where you throw your will against the darkness, but take it from me. It can get dangerous. But what you learn in the etheric space works way better in the astral.

There's a couple ways of getting yourself conscious last time I read about the topic.
I tried the good ol' poke your left hand with your right index. If it would go through you're in a dream.
Worked for a while till I read about sleep paralysis.
Young me had wild trains of thought.

Yes, can confirm. There's a few ways to go about it. My method was through a combination of mindscaping. (Or mind palace meditation) and astral projection. Eventually after training both my brain and my astral senses, I started to be able to recognize when I'm in a dream. But it does take discipline to be able to think in terms of logic while in one. Like if you're trying to figure something out. That tends to wake up the cognitive brain. The spectrum of thought you want to dwell in is the visualization and imaginative, or Emotion. Therefore if you're a left brained person like me? You gotta jump through some hoops to get there.

When I tried training myself I would try to give myself a sleep token. This was way before Inception, I was doing this as a kid because I loved flying dreams.
I would just always try to think of a bouncing red ball before going to sleep. The idea is eventually you will remember the breadcrumbs that got you from Point A, bouncing ball, to point B *here*. Then you are self aware in your dream.

It 's scary. I feel like I am part of two realities when it happens. I much prefer my dreams that take me to other worlds that are undisrupted (often very much impossible architecture... often just straight up fantasy).

@yaasshat Hey kid, you want some psionics? More energy projection, less pillow chewin action. You could even be awake for the cringe.
