Religious rants

@willworkforisekai You're right. There's no simple answer to divinity. In fact, if you aren't scared of a little occult knowledge, I've got this one. Let's look at what the Cabalists say about this one. It has to do with the left side of the cabalistic tree of life. That too is god. Remember the old testament? Every major beat is describing a different aspect of each sepherot. Remember when the Hebrews asked for mercy in their 40 days in the desert? Instead god makes it rain venomous snakes on them. This corresponds to the sepherot known as Gevuruh. Those who petition god while this energy is in play get a very different kind of mercy from its counterpart on the right hand path, Chesod. The mercy of Gevuruh is to make the situation much, much worse, to the point where it breaks the old you in order to make room for a stronger you. The stronger you can then weather the oncoming challenge much more easily. For Gevuruh is the aspect of strength within man. And man is made in god's image. Here's the tree of life for knowledge for reference. Remember folks. As above, so below. https://kabbalahexperience.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/tree-of-life-1.png

@willworkforisekai Yup. Basically that. Also, as someone who works with spirits, there's a lot I want to ask. Because while I'm not religious, I only know of a handful of entities that use a person's guilt or self worth as a tool to kick them when they're down. And they aren't angels... Just sayin. For now though, just take it from someone who has been in "the dark night of the soul" enough to navigate that mental space. Don't try to separate light from dark. It is all you. Don't divide it, don't be ashamed of it, don't try to reject any of it. Instead, try to figure out where it comes from. Just be you. You are growing. You are healing. It sucks. It's painful, it's messy as fucking hell, but it needs to be packed into a moving box so you can make room for it in your new place. Some of it will get lost along the way, but who cares. Being human means we can grow something in its place later. When you make it through the other end, you will be the man you need to become to make a better version of yourself. Then hopefully you can move out of that toxic headspace. I wish I could simplify it, but I've never known internal work to be clean.

The whole "demons lie" is kinda a copout answer designed to work as an "I win" button for people who don't know how demons function. In real demonology, we run down the list, checking off everything else before even entertaining the possibility of demons. But on that topic. Demons do attack mentally. Most of the time, demonic influence overlaps with mental conditions. They are not the cause if it, but they do take advantage of it. So do be careful, you are kinda vulnerable to them right now. But true demons are the exception, not the norm. What I think you are actually dealing with, based on your description, is known quite literally as a shadow. They're similar to demons. But technically there's nothing supernatural about them. They do overlap in the territory of thought form entities and tulpas, since they are beings of the mind. A shadow is quite literally you. Ironically, And yes, you're doing the right thing by accepting what it has to say and using it to better yourself. If you make peace with your shadow, demons will have nothing on you to latch onto. We call that concept "Shadow mending". And if this sounds like the persona series, yes. Particularly in Persona 4, We are talking about the same thing, because those games were based on Jungian psychology, and that's the model we use in modern occult practice. As for tackling narcissism? Well? Both. I may not be a man of faith, but it is a valid form of spiritual protection, and I've seen it help people through addiction. So it can help with this to, if you are using it as a support rather than as an excuse or an escape. And listen to the background voices of your mind. I think you're onto something. And pay attention to what mental health experts may give you as well. One of my best friends is a narcissist, and he never really managed to get rid of it, but he does know how to manage it. Sometimes he slips. But with some self awareness and some help orienting himself, he can often course correct himself. For him, empathy and self awareness are what help him get past his own bullshit. Dunno what works for you, but it helps to let others in as well.

@willworkforisekai Soooo... I'm going to point out the elephant in the room and you are more than welcome to call me a dick. Aren't you schizophrenic? Now, I'm agnostic and I can't say what other's have seen/heard or not... But, how can you be sure these "spirits" aren't your own mind or are you talking more in metaphor? I'm honestly curious about that and I truly do not mean anything offensive by questioning.

Ah, interesting take. I suppose, no harm no foul. Just curious. Definitely interesting regardless, though this will probably be the extent of my "spiritual" conversation, as I know I can and do tend to let my ego take the reigns.lol However, it seems more like a gift rather than an "illness". I suppose if there's something greater than us, it's gifts may come across as weird and unusual, but testing to know it's true is key. Like I said, definitely interesting.

@willworkforisekai The shadow often knows what we know. Including that which we mistakingly delude ourselves into not seeing or rejecting. They're literally born from the parts of ourselves we push under the surface, are ashamed of, or reject. However, Supernaturally speaking (Since while technically not supernatural, but kinda sorta overlapping with it? There's no reason they would reject or be adversed to divinity, for the difference between shadow as an energy and darkness as and energy is that shadow is a less worldly darkness that keeps its divinity in tact. Go back to the tree of life. Do you see Binah? Understanding? It is shadow energy. The energy of reapers, psychopomps, and angels of death. Binah, Chochmaw, and Keter are all three called the Supernal triad. Keter could be seen as the seat of god or the primal unity where all individuality breaks down and all becomes one. Chockmaw the path to god through wisdom and faith. And Binah, the path to god through logic and reason. The shadow we've talked about so far is born from the energy of Binah. They can help you understand yourself. Now just like Gevuruh, were you to count on Binah to show you mercy, rather than having the pressure around you get far worse, you are likely to get the "Rip the band aid off" approach of mercy. A swift end, but an insightful one. Spirits from Binah are often in the mental spectrum, meaning we can pick up on them through using our minds like perceptive organs, the same way we use our eyes. Normally it takes training to get that far though, and I would not recommend trying it if you think there is any chance you are not of sound mental health. Cause that could skew the information we receive in some very damaging directions. Now shadows in the mind and spirits of shadow CAN interact with each other. In fact, some people practice shadow mending have learned how to use their shadow as a means of communicating with spirits. This could of course backfire if you think you secretly hate yourself. But I wonder if that's why you hear two voices, or if it's something else. Either way, just be careful with this stuff. The occult is dangerous for a reason. I'm only trying to explain it to help contextualize it in case it turns out to be supernatural. That does not mean that it is supernatural. If you choose to go down that route, learn grounding techniques.

Religious rants are pointless as they are just based on beliefs. I cannot prove God is fake to you. Nor that the bible is little more than an agglomeration of bad books (consisting of fiction) written by old men with the intent of securing power and order and also spreading propaganda. Believe what you want. Or believe nothing.

in all honesty i believed in the bible simply because it aligned with a lot of my beliefs at the time. i get a lot of it is hard to swallow with the no same sex marriage and sin = death and all that. i have faith because of the prophecies, it is not only a book about the way you should live your life and the history of the world did you know that? 98% of all bible's prophecies have come true and 98% is nothing to scoff at especially if you are and an autodidact like me or any kind of scholarly person. i don't know if you have read the bible or not but to have a position and not have read it would make you any case stubborn on the issues within and or surrounding that book. so even if it were true i doubt you would feel much different depending on your circumstances. i would think that book was certainly a book of fact having anything to do with the research surrounding it. all it takes is for some people to want to see past adversity to be willing to accept the truth and given the circumstances of our need to be Christ like death. i think there is a parable concerning your nature in that book. it speaks of birds look up the parable of the farmer from th bible and see if you find yourself. anyway ive kinda got schizophrenia so ive lost my train of thought but give that book a thurough reading and see if you come out the same way you went in. as i said before though you have to be willing to accept the truth about human behavior, law, your responsibility as a human/ purpose ect. start with revelations then read threw the prophets of the new testament finish the new testament then start the old testament in proverbs. it should open your eyes a bit to see what the world shuns.

@derpster55i I believe you mean Matthew 13:1-9 (NIV), 'The Parable of the Sower': "That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Which is a parable of a farmer planting seed in different soil, the seed is resembling God's word and the soil acting as people. There will be some willing to accept the truth and others who will not do anything with the word given to them, and as you said some will remain-"stubborn on the issues within and or surrounding that book."
