I recently got married. My husband and I share our love for music and culture, we are both quite sociable people and love to get to know more people. We are also both keen on having our own family.
But what we absolutely do not have in common is him playing pc games a lot and me not being into it that much, me liking international music a lot, for example hindi music, japanese and korean music,... and mostly even the movies we wanna watch. There is one exception though and this exception is Bollywood.

I believe you should have things in common. I recommend your partner being your best friend. That way years from now, you will both lose the physical features, but will still have things to talk about and do together. That's what I am looking for.

I absolutely believe that your ideal mate has to be able to be your best friend. @verucassault has a ton in common with me. Her love of gaming is incredibly attractive. I've never met a girl who could spend 6 solid hours dicking around in a zombie game with me. She's truly amazing. That being said, we both have stark differences that we respect in each other. I have a huge boner for the stock market and she has a huge lady boner for podcasts and politics. I think the best relationships are built when the couple share interests in their favorite hobbies.

Politics isn't a hobby, it's a disease.

Thankfully we have enough in common, but not so much in common that things stay pretty interesting. @Arc

Freedom is the key to any relationship! When one gives love freely, they too receive love unconditionally.
But if you want to really win them over just make sure to bring something they'll love to share with you like some dandelion wine.
Or is that only me, eheh? https://oneesports.azureedge.net/cdn-data/2021/03/GenshinImpact_Venti-768x427.jpg

I say similar interests with a mix of surprises that would put you out of your comfort zone from time to time. New things are mostly fun (opinion). I know for sure I would not be attracted to an opposite of me (non-hobby opposites). DIFFERENCES are not a problem. That’s where conversation get’s most interesting

Tastes and opinions can be blatantly different.
You just need to share most principles and be somehow attached to each other. . .
In theory!
