One Piece - Luffy

I tried to watch One Piece in the past but that was when I slowly quit watching anime for a bit and I JUST started it again and I keep thinking that Luffy seems kind of autistic. Not in an insult manner but in a literal - the character seems to have asperger's syndrome. Does anybody else suspect that who is further along in the show than I am? It kind of makes me want to watch this more seriously instead of just when I'm working out.

No, Luffy is just an incredibly easy going kind of person. He really doesn't care about a lot of things, but he knows when to get serious.He doesn't care for specifics, so a lot of the time when someone is giving their back story he gets bored and falls asleep. He's just a typical dimwitted main character. A lot of the time he's pretty selfish and is focused on what he wants.

He is still extremely reckless with his one goal in mind that he is trying to accomplish no matter what. On top of that he seems to have zero idea about social skills. He also doesn't seem smart either beyond his logic to fight.

Yeah, all the characters are generally stupid in their own way. It’s a comedy. You’re better off not taking it seriously.

Its mostly his lack of respect for authority. And he didn't have much of an education growing up. His brother Ace is very similar to him, but slightly more mature since he's older and has more experience in the world. I'm not sure how far you've watched but, Luffy grows as a character and some of that stuff is shed off a little bit, but he still retains his core personality traits. The show gets pretty serious eventually.

I wouldn’t say Luffy is autistic, he could be more of a sociopath. He’s carefree and reckless pretty much all the time, but as soon as you hurt his friends its like you flipped his “pissed off” switch. To the point where if he loses to the person that flipped said switch he basically hunts them down til he knocks them unconscious.

Bruh Luffy is for sure autistic Every boy in a harem anime is a fag And every girl lowkey a bitch but getting wannabe hard to get when its going serious. But look at the fact its an anime for kids with moral lessons so they do it right...
