Yato from Noragami. You could argue hes not dark, but he has a very twisted history that destroys him on the inside. And he constantly battles it day in and day out.

You know what? Gimme Gutz. Sure, my life will be nothing but internal and external misery, but at least I could look a demon in the eyes, while grinning sadistically as I humiliate it by rubbing its face in the wake of the suffering it has caused others. Thats the only series where I've watched something pleading for mercy while getting tortured, and felt absolutely no remorse. ...And people wonder why I don't try to write dark fantasy.
