The Darkest Anime Character You Would Be

I thought something similar, then I thought of Gutz, and couldn't help the opportunity to bring attention to him. Normally I hate when characters, settings, and stories are "Dark for the sake of dark", because more often than not, it comes off as pretentious and immature. (And generally, I as a lover of writing tend to only use darkness to contrast the lighter aspects of my stories and characters.) But the Berserk Manga, while tough to read at times, is perhaps one of the most compelling pieces of literature I've ever read. The "Darkness" actually serves the story, highlighting the near hopelessness of the situation, and yet here's one guy who still fights against evils greater than himself, winning most battles only by the skin of his teeth, sheer grit, and luck. Willing to go to lengths and extremes no honorable hero would dare entertain for his own survival, his desire for revenge, and love. It is not an enviable position by any means, but an admirable one, considering what he faces on a daily basis. Gutz really is the paragon of what it means to endure. A true Hercules type figure, as opposed to a Superman, or a Cuchulain (Like goku). -heavy fanboy breathing subsides- Oh. I uh... I'm gonna leave now. ^_^;

Guts from Berserk. @Sherlow you shoud read the manga if you haven't already. Yhings were changed for the anime and the manga goes soooooo much darker

I've been wanting to read the manga however I'm not sure I want to if it's any darker than Femto's big purple demon phallus.
