Depends. Metallica went from Trash Metal to Heavy Metal. I personally dislike HM Metallica.

but literally nothing is metal about their music minus the instrumentals, which are admittedly top-notch. disturbed is classic heavy metal imo, and they are nothing akin to metallica. nothing.

There is something that really annoys me about people who think that classic literature is something that is useless or shouldn't be taught because it is irrelevant. There are some aspects of the human condition that do not change regardless of what technology exists. Eternal themes that ring true for people no matter the time period. Now granted some of the technologies and cultural differ from period to period, but the same basic message of the themes is still encapsulated within the writing.
