I felt this post on a personal level. I have a bad tendency to let my bleeding heart get the better of me. Had some people I know online as just loosely casual chat friends. But then one has been in a bad depressive state due to a breakup.
But then now for almost a year, it's been as you describe. Sending messages first thing in the morning almost sounding like a bot with short messages of woe is me. Shooting down any encouragement, attempts to help, mentions of my own similar lived experiences to offer them perspective and suggestions how to handle their situation.
Then come back to start this line of communication all over again a few days later while I am at work. Mental health during times of hardship is a challenge and I am totally sympathetic, but even a bleeding heart like me has limits.

Theirs something incredibly weird with over sharing your medical past with a stranger and how your bipolarness and shit is making you wanna end your life. Then to try and cheer them up only for them to shoot you down and make it feel like it's impossible while WE'RE AT WORK. Jesus Christ I feel incredibly drained having to deal with that, I just need to say "damn that's crazy" as a response cause I really don't wanna hear your life story if you ain't even interested in mine.

Well. Not off to a great start this week. I caught the flu just before the premiere of the Sonic movie in a few days. Really hope I get over this soon. I made plans to join friends seeing the movie, which happens to also be on my birthday. Anyone got a healing spell to cast?

I got one with the energy of 20 if you want her. Be mindful she has 0 chill and is always in play mode setting.
Her favorite hobbies are peeling wallpaper, pulling up old carpeting, taking down curtains and fixtures. Basically if you're in the home improvement business do I have the feline companion for you!
She also does pest control. If by pest control I mean she tortures her victims slowly. Sometimes biting one in half before offering the remaining leftovers to the next victim in some twisted demented game only my cat seems to appreciate....

As someone on the spectrum with a history with this franchise, yes. 100% Yes. And even the current state of the franchise just embraces the amount of Autism drawn in like a badge. This is probably why Sonic Boom was such a good show. XD
