It depends on the person because if the person was already going to get with the person that I like then it's one thing but if it's another I'm basically going yandere on the person on 3 different occasions. Like seriously.

Long distance can work. There are no explicit rules to dating and being in love. However, stress and tension itself can be the problem. If you can't talk with her about it, the problem is bound to get worse. She my have had a legit reason not to be able to see you or to focus on where she was, but you two would've needed to talk about that. I'm not going to say you're right or wrong.
