Well... to start, I never really look for girls outside of the internet. I sorta asked a girl out for the first time IRL when I was 23 and it ended in massive embarrassment, like more than a simple rejection. I tend to have a hard time interacting with people I don't know well IRL, like lots of anxiety. I've had LDR's kinda with people I basically met through people, but they never really went anywhere for various reasons. Now I'm just sort of skeptical of everything and tend to never try pushing anything past friendship.

I'm one of those "I don't want to ruin a friendship" kind of guys. Hitting on a girl has never been my thing. I've asked women out on dating apps before but doing it with a friend seems like it would just hurt way more

I confess that y'all just need to take chances. Hell, your "soul mate" could very well be talking to you on this thread. But, I too was/am socially retarded and got lucky via a fairly popular dating app... Y'all think you're awkward? Pffft... Ain't got a thing on me and my wife's first "date". There are silent films with more talking.XD

Gonna refer back to the whole not ruining a good friendship thing. I've been on dates through dating apps before. Thats easier to do since the whole reason most people are there are exactly for that, first dates are always awkward. Plus most people here don't live close to each other, and typically people don't do LDRs. But building a friendship and trying to move that to the next level? Thats like trying to date on Hardcore. And I'm fully aware those are all excuses .-.

Dunno about taking chances, I mean I take those types of chances all the time. Hell when I first made an account here, I took that chance with someone who interested me. Ended up falling flat in the end but I made a possible life long friend at the same time too, no dice on the whole soulmate or romance thing though. :u
