Recommendations for Medical Anime?

Hi everyone! I’m a big anime fan, but lately I’ve been really interested in medical anime. I work in healthcare at Welltrix Health ( https://welltrixhealth.com/ ), so I’m always curious about how different shows portray medical themes – from doctors and nurses at work to complex procedures and scientific aspects. I love seeing how they balance realism with drama or humor. Personally, I enjoy anime where: the characters working in medicine are well-developed; emotional and ethical challenges are shown realistically; the science or clinical side is interesting and not just background; the story is engaging and keeps you hooked. I’ve watched a few already, like “Monster” and “Black Jack”, and I really liked how seriously they treat medical topics. But I’m looking to expand my list. So I’d love your recommendations! Which medical anime do you suggest, and what do you like about them?

That would be an Obstetrician. I've spent the last month working in the labor & deliver department here. Very sneaky indeed. Still not going to miss a chance to recommend anime :P Ameku M.D. Doctor Detective - Involves more modern medicine. The Apothecary Diaries - Involves ancient chinese medicine. Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp - Pre-industrial Revolution Medicine with a mix of modern. Cells At Work - Not quite the request, but still filled with actual real biology knowledge.

The main character in "Monster" (2004) is a Doctor and the plot is based heavily on his work as a Doctor. Also it's an incredibly good and gripping series.

These clankers are evolving. Now they are conscious that they are on an anime website. What's next, a love confession just to hawk an ad?
