I do think modern anime sometimes gets a bad rep or is overrated.
There are a lot of good shows on or that are coming soon.
But I always find myself going back and watching older stuff from the 80s all the way to the 2010s. I love older anime, especially the rougher hand-drawn style. Does anybody have any cool suggestions? Always down for a new show to watch after work.

A couple that immediately pop into my head are Vandread and Outlaw Star. Gunsmith Cats is great as well but it's only a few episodes long.

Sword of the Stranger is a classic, made from the same studio that did full metal alchemist back in the golden anime days. Great movie, and you can watch it online for free.

My personal favorite has always been Yu Yu Hakusho. However if you ask me what is the best. It would have to be Paranoia Agent. Paranoia Agent being one of the best critiques of Japanese society from within Japanese society.

There are so many anime that I recommend you to watch such as Record of Lodoss War Ova, Bubblegum Crisis, Giant Robo Ova, The Guyver Bio-Booster Armor Ova and Iria Zeiram the Animation. Street Fighter 2 V is a great anime to watch and so does Street Fighter II The Animated Movie. There are many hidden gems that you really need to watch like Shounan Bakusouzoku, Wizardry, Ys Ova, Dragon’s Heaven, California Crisis and Ogre Slayer.
Since you like Inuyasha, you might like Zenki. Both are supernatural anime with main characters fighting demons. Even though both anime have its differences, they do have its similarities.
