Dude, I'm a Cinephile. I can go all day. He WAS the killer in the 1st movie. But in the 2nd one John sent him back in time so he can protect himself from getting killed.

Sure, but in Salvation and genisys he returns as a killer again.

Isn't he a different unit each time?

I don't think he is in Genisys since it was meant to be a rebootish kind of film.

Arnold is more good than evil in the films, other than like two of them. That said, if we do create artificial intelligence, or should I say when, It all really depends on how we make it think. If we truly created A.I. if it wanted us dead, odds are it could succeed. But we also don't know how an A.I. will truly think.

We have already created AI though, it's just a case of developing it more.

What we have created isn't seen as true A.I. however. Which is what I'm mainly talking about.

If we create a true AI what it does will depend on if it's existence is threatened or not. If no one tried to "kill" it, it would most likely work with humans for a while making life easier. I say this based on observable life. Things are usually chill until their threatened or hungry. I can't see an A.I. needing our resources or caring about our concepts of religion so their wouldn't be conflict between us. If it ends up like the A.I. in Transcendence where it wants to make major changes to societal structures, I can't imagine it'd be hard to talk it into letting the societies of man decide if they were ready for such changes and if any were to use them first to convince other societies. I don't see a true A.I. ending up like Skynet because Skynet doesn't seem to be a true A.I.. It had a directive which it followed through what it deemed to be the easiest path, not free will or directives of it's own.

Honestly, even saying If we threatened it or not, may not make it kill us. I mean, Survival instincts are just that, Instinct. Something we evolved. We truly have no idea how it will think, hell it even may kill itself, if it see's life as only temporary and therefore meaningless. We just have no idea how it will think. The only people that do, will be those that program it, and even then, it's like Frankenstein monster. You can't control something that outgrows you, even if you made it.
