What are some relationship related things you wish you knew sooner, that you'd go back and tell yourself about if you could?

None. For without failure, I would not have success. Oh, there are regrets, but I have my kids. So, there's success. Every cloud has little ray of sunshine.

Silence separates faster than walls. Just love isn't enough. People show love differently even if you live by the Golden Rule. Everyone has boundaries and you shouldn't expect someone to give you everything you want if it goes against their values. Listen to your gut; red flags. Healthy relationships comfort more than they drain. Actions are more powerful than words so some apologies aren't good enough. Conflict isn't a sign of failure and all people fight - you just have to learn how to do it constructively. Don't lose yourself. Put yourself first sometimes.
