You're telling me God doesn't know all? He is not omnipotent?
hell_hound7
Im telling you anyone has been given the choice of free will to serve him and not to serve him. Ofc he knows what the outcome will be but because we are given the choice to repent of our sins or continue to live in sin. Listen my human mind cannot grasp the concept of God and his infinite capabilities for all we know it could be a constant repeat for him where he creates the heavens all the way through rapture and just cycles through it. Again he doesnt live in our concept of time he is the one who created everything to include those who go against him. All i do know is the bibles tells us we may repent of our sins and he has reached out to everyone on multiple occasions to do so.

The thing is Panda that God does know all things. The difference lies in though the choice and choices people make, God desires for mankind to be saved but it’s through OUR choice on if we will accept and live by His word or not. It’s like how he knew Adam and Eve wouldn’t be deceived but once again he didn’t intervene because he gave them a CHOICE on what they would do with his instructions to not eat of the tree of Knowlege. But, yet they chose to listen to Satan and eat of it anyway. It all comes down to what will we choose to do. People often complain when God doesn’t intervene or answer them through their prayers, but God does give an answer and sometimes it’s a no and people often get mad when he doesn’t answer then way we want him to. But when he does intervene and step in it’s for the betterment of humanity, which means it’s things most people won’t appreciate because it’s things they have attached themselves to that God knows is not truly good for mankind. Yet we are too stuck in our ways to realize it. And sorry this got so long but Colossians 1:28 (KJV) says “Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” So, there is a reason for Christ coming despite how God knows. But it’s so that we can be made perfect (which doesn’t mean literally perfect because no man is, but pure before the LORD) THROUGH Christ, since he is the only way to truly be redeemed

Would you create a machine knowing it was going to do harm and blame the machine because you gave it a choice, even while knowing the outcome? Kinda like you planned it to do that, but say it had a choice? Serious question.

I dont necessarily think god tells people no, its more of like my grandma says things dont happen on your time it happens on his. Ofc worldly desires he will not play into. But he gives certain opportunities to those he knows can make the right choices. He also gives his most difficult challenges to his strongest of warriors. He will never throw a situation your way he knows you cant take on. But in the same sense your actions in life dictate how hard those challenges may be. If you live a life of sin and evil you will be punished accordingly.

God and humanity are like parent and child. You say “Would you create a machine knowing it was going to do harm and blame the machine because you gave it a choice, even while knowing the outcome? Kinda like you planned it to do that, but say it had a choice?” It’s like when people have kids (for the people that definitely plan to have kids especially), you know that kid won’t always be obedient and won’t always listen to you. You may know deep down somewhere that they could one day grow up to become a terrible person and hurt, murder, steal, kill or destroy. But yet you chose to have them did you not? Especially since you have a kid @yaasshat (the little boy I believe) said some things that really hurt you DESPITE how you said you understand since he is still young. But do you or will you end up blaming him for things he can end up saying now and even when/as he’s growing up? That’s kind of how it works for God, he chose to creat human beings despite knowing what will happen because he wanted a family. Just like how you may not appreciate what your kid(s) may say or do in the present or when they get older. But you know deep down somewhere that it will/can happen at some point and still choose to love and forgive them, AND chose to have them despite whatever actions or choices they’ll make for themselves in the future. And I know it’d be different since a human parent doesn’t know the exact things their kid(s) might do, but it was mainly for an example that people know the possibility of what might happen and still choose to do those things is all. I can’t say I know everything God does (because I don’t). No one truly does, but that’s how I think. And sorry if I answered a question that wasn’t for me

Would I create my children knowing they'd burn for all eternity? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Answered? I'd rather they not exist than go through that because they "disobeyed" me.

Yeah, what he said. All this "Right and wrong stuff" and "burn in hell because you did something wrong" doesn't exactly sound righteous in any way shape or form. Call me blasphemous, but I believe in his existence, and I believe that God, and his followers, have never served the light, and were never good, or right. Its a self serving lie, just to rally followers of his dark will. You told me before that he loves his children, but can you be so certain? That he loves us to the point he willingly, and knowingly kills us for doing something that slights him even a bit? Tell me that line makes no sense. Go ahead. I know well that it makes little to no sense. If you love your "children" you don't sentence them to an eternity of burning, blistering, melting pain, for any reason. That's just the truth of it.

You said God gives us a choice. That's where you are horribly wrong. We can choose according to our own will, but it is not our freedom, nor has it ever been. To defy God, is to choose death. Doesn't that sound like he tells us to follow him or else he's going to take our very lives? He takes away the very freedom he created us with. What next? Our emotions? Our knowledge? Something physical perhaps. Like maybe your family. Your home. Your world. If you do not know what God knows... Which are your very words... You CAN NOT even begin to think you know his intention, and that's a damn fact. Edit: I highly doubt you'll acknowledge my point. If you are incapable of concieving a potential that goes against your belief, then I suggest that you disregard my message, and cease to converse this topic. This isn't an option or choice, but a mere suggestion. Don't take it to heart.

To piggy back off of what mommy said. To someone who is a parent and you see your child do something bad you punish them. Same concept applies think of hell as a sort of time out but in the grander scale its never ending. Him killing people he has never killed people out right he has always warned all of the people of what they must do in order to correct themselves whether it be in cases liks the great flood or war or famine or even judgement day. God has created us and made us in his image we are all his children and therefore he wants us to do good. But qhen we do bad or all of us do bad we feel his wrath as such as any parent gets frustrated whenntheir children dont listen. But again he doesnt force them to listen and he also tries to teach us about doing the right thing.
