Religious rants

You know the whole "which religion is true" is kind of an odd topic when you think about it. Like when did it become a thing? In prehistoric times there is evidence of tribes massacring other tribes and the first thing they did was destroy their religious symbols. Akhenaten abandoned the ancient Egyptian pantheon for his monotheistic religion, Atenism. He was a poor king though and utilized very rough slave labor. Contrary to popular belief the Pharaoh Khufu, who built the pyramids, did not use slaves but paid laborers. After Akhenaten passed his religion was abolished and Egypt returned to the pantheon. The Babylonians conquered the Israelites but the Israelites could still practice their religion aslong as they respected the Babylonians deities. Sumerian storie, the predecessors of the Babylonians, mixed into the Torah and later Bible. Buddha's teachings existed alongside Hinduism but there has been persecution of Buddhism over the millennia. Like China and Japan. Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Is that an acknowledgement of other deities, it doesn't even say you can't worship them just that the Christian God needs to be number one. I get that, I like to be number one too. Constantine wrote to a friend praising the Christian God but still worshipped others. To me, religion has it's political side and it's spiritual side. The whole"which religion is right" debate stems from the political side. You can have other groups with a different identity or they might overthrow your group. So when we say a religion isn't true are we talking from a time of archaic politics or from a spiritual side?

You're only talking about what you believe.... Sooooo... If you want yo discuss other religions, please do. I'm only going off of what's said, period. Feeling attacked seems to be your fuel, so you're welcome, I guess.lol

*Waves his credentials just in case Panda thought he wasn't serious about looking into something for him* https://i.ani.me/0335/4025/69688344_506720369871674_7717721592830099456_n.png Okay, guess we move on to the next topic. Let's see here. Oh secular and thiest rambling again... Let me consult the book and try to reign everyone back in. Hey, demons are found in cultures all over the world. Wanna talk about the common adversary of man? I know A LOT about how spiritual possession works. Spoiler alert, anyone who tells you its instantaneous has never been there for the real thing.

Now, that's an interesting topic. Do you think possession is something the demon can do on its own or must it be something that the recipient is willing and wanting? Sorta like the old saying where a vampire has to be invited in and can't just come in?

The thing is you said you believe in god, but provided no evidence, No belief, no reason why this or that. Simply that you dont agree with christianity. It would be one thing if said you didnt believe in God at all and was just attacking christianity for beign toxic and all that. But no you have a god but dont defend it. So you are simply just attacking me for the sake of it. See what im saying?

I have a personal belief that admittedly may be wrong. I also don't think any man knows the truth. I see the universe and to me I see the finger prints of a creator/s. Simple enough? Agnostic is what I am with a more spiritual leaning. I'm not sure there is anything, but I'm willing to entertain the idea of there being something or nothing. Simple. That's the boiled down version.

@yaasshat Good question. Contrary to popular belief, they do require some manner of consent. But the thing is, they tend to perceive submission as synonymous with permission.

I should go to bed though. I can answer in explicit detail with examples tomorrow.

@chocopyro yeah i dont think possession is instantaneous. You have to invite it in your life, sort of like the story of the real Annabelle doll. They allowed what they thought was the spirit of a little girl to dwell in the doll.

Huh... I guess I can understand that. I do wonder, why isn't possession as prevalent as you'd think, especially with that in mind? Sleep well and thanks regardless.
