God is supposed to be Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence. The fact I have some idea on how Christians think is the fact I don't want to convert. I was Catholic for the wrong reasons, because what made me want to be a follower was cultural and intellectual legacy as I was rather reactionary (as many can see in my previous posting on debate threads here). I am maybe too cynical to believe in a being of "good for goodness' sake", as correctly defines @daggerfella . God in Abrahamism is pure good and pure virtue, and that's exactly the reason I am not inclined to believe him, despite many awesome things done by Christians, Jews and Muslims did for the end of glorifying him. Besides, @alephy, not necessarily people are convinced of something -including religion- with evidence. People are converted to religions due to a plethora of factors. Out of example, out of wisdom (which is different from knowledge), martyrdom, identification... and the list goes on. Evidence is just one of the ways someone can be converted. It changes from person, and context.

And no, I don't believe in the polytheistic religions. They are MOSTLY aspects of nature and some pretty simple abstractions found in humans, personified and that wage war against one another.

No aleph i didnt say they asked to be made fun of i said they asked for the shit they got. If someone else rapes kills or steals by faith im not punished for it. If someone votes a literal moron into office politically i am punished for it. As for the statistics YOU dont take into account the amount of people per country engaging in the hostility toward the religions. Per capita sure but in terms of sheer number vs sheer number its not the same argument there either. More countries more people the size of the group affected doesnt necessarily mean they are discriminated against the same way either. As for God bring omnipotent and all that him not snapping his fingers to make the gay people straight. You are essentially forcing people into submission again God is a God of love. He isnt a slave master, he wants us to serve him WILLINGLY. He has given us the choice to follow him or not follow him. You can choose your own side. He loves you enough that if you choose to follow him he will take care of you but if not you go to hell. Its that simple. God can do whatever he wants he is the supreme being the almighty, the most high above everyone. We are humans have no place to question what he does yet we do and he doesnt straight up kills us for it. Inb4 you talk about flooding the earth and all this he gets angry ofc wouldnt you? If you had a child and they disrespected you would you not discipline them?

Would I drown, burn, rape or send an army to kill my child and their children for turning from me? Would I allow them to suffer for eternity for disobeying me? (Hey, if my kids someday abandon me, I'll always be here for them and they have that choice without fear of my retribution. Don't take that as saying they aren't disciplined.) Ehhhh...... Death only matters to us because our lives are finite here on earth. Thats how you view life as a human so exactly right ur not God. You see your suffering on earth as everything but forget there is an afterlife. Granted you may still suffer in the afterlife as well but again death on earth is small compared to afterlife. So even if followers of God die tragic deaths they will still have an afterlife to look forward to
