Religious rants

hell_hound7
So what is everyone's religious denomination? Because i have yet to have seen anyone actually say they believe in a specific religion. Sure some said thry believe in God or some higher power. But that is more of a belief than a religion. An all encompassing entity is a belief not a religion. So i stand by what i said unless someone can say otherwise. There has been no conversation on islam or really Buddhism (except i think ghost or something) idk. Christianity has been the only topic brought up, people have yes tried to prove it false. The ideas represented in Christianity have been tried to prove false which dismantles the entire principle and idea behind it.

I'm a follower of the true inheritors of the holy creed, the successors of the old testament and the rightful winners of the Schisms of Christianity, the Catholic Faith. While the old testament is no longer in use except for ceremonial use, it is still noteworthy that we are the single branch of Christianity to perform the most reforms in it's continuous existence, take that protestants!

@swadian werent you contradicting your own religious texts? But you are the rightful winners of the schisms of Christianity? I mean im not trying to judge anyone, but i mean people have been arguing that Christianity contradicts itself and does all kinds of bad stuff. Then we have "Christians" contradicting their own stuff. Interesting, i remember you specifically saying the other day that the earth was more than millions of years old, despite the bible saying otherwise. Interesting.

Panda-kun™ @hell_hound7 You can agree with religion and it's teachings without specifically agreeing to the foundations of it's world building. I see religioin as the means for unity, to create better people with a more centered focus on the things that matter, like being decent folk, helping those that need help, aiding the weak, the old testament and the bible itself are just stories which are meant to supplement the teachings, much like how we get mythology to teach us about how god's can go bonkers and greedy and how humans can overcome their limits with their own strength, one can be a follower of something without necessarily surrendering logic
hell_hound7
Hmmmm ok, i dont necessarily agree. But yeah im gonna leave that conversation there XD

It's alright, I wouldn't expect a treacherous protestant to understand.

Thats crazy cuz the catholics out here allowing trans and gay people to continue sinning rather than repenting. Which is why i have continously attacked the catholic faith. Maybe at one point the catholics were actual Christians. But idk about all these praying to a cross and thinking the body of God is inside the cross. Maybe not all catholics believe that way but protestants are protestants for a reason. There are issues with the catholic faith overall.

God doesn't cares much for the sheep's that follow him dutifully as much as for the ones that are alone and in need of help, it's the holy duty of a true successor of Christianity, a Catholic, to be the beacon of hope for the least fortunate in any small ways they can, the real sin is shunning away the sibling in need of understanding, of love and empathy.

No, my divine interpretation is correct. No, my divine interpretation is correct. I'm the believer on the one true faith. No, I'm the believer of the one true faith. Tis the divine contradiction. https://media.tenor.com/5lLcKZgmIhgAAAAM/american-psycho-patrick-bateman.gif

@secretagentboi By definition, God is the so called creator of the universe. God is supposed to be all powerful. He can make and unmake reality. Make and unmake rules. If God wanted too. God could snap his fingers and end free will tomorrow. Let’s say you witnessed a being black out the sun, move entire mountains, rearrange the stars in the sky and destroy the moon right in front of your eyes. This being said he was God. Would you still think it was an imposter? Nice try trying to weasel out of the question. If God broke free will because of no other reason because he felt like it. Do you follow all of Gods commands? If God told you to blow your brains out with a revolver. Do you do it? Yes or no?
