Religious rants

chise8686
Mesopotamian religion was polytheistic, with followers worshipping several main gods and thousands of minor gods. The three main gods were Ea (Sumerian: Enki), the god of wisdom and magic, Anu (Sumerian: An), the sky god, and Enlil (Ellil), the god of earth, storms and agriculture and the controller of fates. Ea is the creator and protector of humanity in both the Epic of Gilgamesh and the story of the Great Flood. In the latter story, Ea made humans out of clay, but the God Enlil sought to destroy humanity by creating a flood. Ea had the humans build an ark and mankind was spared. If this story sounds familiar, it should; foundational Mesopotamian religious stories about the Garden of Eden, the Great Flood, and the Creation of the Tower of Babel found their way into the Bible, and the Mesopotamian religion influenced both Christianity and Islam. Each Mesopotamian City had its own patron god or goddess, and most of what we know of them has been passed down through clay tablets describing Mesopotamian religious beliefs and practices. A painted terracotta plaque from 1775 B.C. gives an example of the sophistication of Babylonian art, portraying either the goddess Ishtar or her sister Ereshkigal, accompanied by night creatures.

That's cool and all, but did Babylon worship the anime goddess, Haruhi Suzumiya? Cause if not then that's why humanity suffered the flood of filler episodes known as the endless 8. This was reflected in the 8 days of Hanukkah where the people of Abraham were tested to see if their devotion to her was strong enough to wait for a miracle revelation in the form of plot progression!

I had a dream i was in church listening to what i would assume was a catholic bishop or something? Idek he was dressed weird and he had a device around his neck that looked futuristic to amplify his voice and he qas delivering a sermon. This church they were speaking in another language, i believe it was latin or something. They then asked all the Americans to stand up. For some reason i was wearing my pajamas and i was confused why. But i didnt get much time to figure it out because the church exploded. I then spent the next couple of minutes trying to evacuate all the children and families. This wasnt any regular explosion because i remembered i kept wondering why people werent washing off their skin, meaning it was a chemical attack. I remember yelling to someone your church is going to burn in hell for this. But someone said you dont know the full story. I didnt know what that meant so i asked what full story and they pointed to a guy in the crowd and i went to him and he started telling me something but i couldnt understand him and i woke up. Kinda creepy tbh.

I was hungry for a Chick-fil-A sandwich and dreamed of getting one during lunch break, but the food truck sold out. Was I not worthy? What sin did I commit oh great and Almighty maker of chicken? *tears tunic and robes himself in recycled cardboard made from a box of only 1 kind of fiber* How might I repent, so that my hunger of the spirit doesn't go unabated! *gnashes teeth* Like a stray dog I now beg at the table of mine coworker kin for crumbs of breaded grease. May I be shown mercy for the love of waffle fries!

In fairness of being serious towards religion based dreams, I too had a common experience like with Panda-kun. Only in my dream I entered a Baptist Church. I came with a legitimate desire to be directed in spiritual growth. However when I sat amongst the others to listen to the preacher, they kept their silence when I asked if they would share with me their scripture. The preacher kept going, but I was the only one without a bible. Looking to the woman next to me if she'd let me read along with her she pulled her book away and pointed to a bible I could borrow on the back of the pew. As I reached for it the book rapidly started to mold. It disturbed me, but still I made a conscious effort to read the words on the page. Yet the splotches grew too dark for me to make sense of the passages. The binding came loose as the pages disintegrated. In horror I noticed everyone's bibles were doing the same. As the preacher passed condemnation upon other Christian faiths and judged society as they often do, the building itself began crumbling around us. I tried to call out what was happening, but no one moved or listened. Eventually the building collapsed upon all of us and I woke up. That was my dream.

Hmm... Similar theme. What I mean is, you both saw the church collapsing or being destroyed. Metaphor!!!! Dun dun duuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn!!!!! Of course, one could argue this more than likely comes from having certain beliefs and being filled with fear about the " impending destruction" of the faith. Now onto changing a (What I'm assuming from all the grunting.) poopy diaper (And she just had a huge fart... Tis a shitty day.)!!!!

I mean im not gonna sit here and pretend the dream was prophetic but it was strange. A chemical attack happened in the church. Why did i say the church was gonna burn in hell? I never tell anyone they will burn in hell. But this dream kind of reminds me of the years ago prior to getting back into religion i would have reoccurring dreams about hiding in a post apocalyptic world from something. It would always be me and a group of people hiding. Why were we hiding? What was coming? I never found out, but all the people seemed scared. I maybe had this dream 10 times all with different locations and scenarios. One with my family, one with strangers, one in new york, it was very strange. I also dreamed i was in hell three times. All of this was before being born again. Coincidentally none of these dream had any affect on my stance of religion.

Also i dont fear destruction, those of us who are prepared for the end know where we stand and accept our fate. I have come to the realization that if the Antichrist appeared tomorrow and persecuted all Christians i could end up being tortured to death. Its the price im willing to pay. Im honestly not even here to prove myself right, i simply wanna help save other people from a fate worse than what i would face during that period. The torture for me would be temporary but for others it would be never ending. Despite how much you mock me and "call me out" im still going to keep trying. Some of you have reason to be against God as you intend on living a life that goes against his word. You know who you are, just remember what you want wont make you happy. Remember this later once everything is in motion and come to christ. That is all.
