Or another alternative, give the mods power and make rules no newds, porn, adult content - period and enforce it. Then the under 18 folks can stay and the adults that don't blast their kinks to the world can feel better about being on a forum that doesn't look predatory to minors. *shrug* It's not like the wheel has to be reinvented here on how to manage this issue. I'm sure there are plenty of examples on how to mitigate these problems collected since the dawn of the internet.

@wei_ying yeah, I remember. I befriended you back then, still am. I remember I joined the site long time ago, when I was 14. This was back when the age limit was 16, and we had edgelords around every corner... shuddering thought. LOL

@verucassault I actually wasn't aware that every user was added to his list upon joining. That is a good way to hunt down bots and troll accounts like the one you posted there though. @mishi00 That would be great if we were also only an American site, but you have an active userbase in the baltic countries too, and their legal standard tends to be +16. We do have an 18+ section of our website of course. It's not there solely for hentai memes, there actually are 18+ dating threads. Now to clarify, if you live in the states, that doesn't mean you should be trying to get with a 16 year old Finnish girl. Stick to your national age of consent, and be aware of others NAoC as well. Also, I do have plenty of under age friends and I don't make it weird. Teens are neither children and adults, and by 16, generally have the life experience and upbringing to know to be careful about that stuff. Hence why I assume that's the minimum age restriction for the site. So granting them some autonomy does make sense. I generally find treating them like they're stupid and incapable of taking care of themselves often leads them to make dumber decisions.
