Political rants

Well i remember obama era that my family went homeless. I dont have much knowledge on the economy back then but i do know the housing market was insane. Finding a place to live was so expensive especially in places like texas and florida. 3-4 years ago Florida housing market was pretty pricey as well. A regular apartment going well up to 1600. As for minimum wage i doubt it would be bumped to $23 that would kill businesses from day one. You cant justify any small business being able to afford that. It would basically put them on proces competing with big corp which they can afford since they are millionaires. They kill off competition and then raise the prices to recoup.

Idc what anyone says raising the minimum wage is gonna kill small businesses. Im telling you by the time it takes them to see the benefits of that wage increase most will file bankrupcy. Its the easiest way to create a monopoly for big corporations who already got bailouts from covid.

Holy shit, a nuanced answers! You've done it, guys! http://blog.edmdesigner.com/content/images/2016/06/firework-gif1.gif Actually, the place I'm working for is a small business, and they are offering to hire me on for 14 an hour. More feasible than you think, just gotta run your business intelligently.
solid_snake95
So does that mean any small business that falls under are idiots who deserve to go bankrupt? Not mad at you. Mad at society in general and want to go far away but I'm trapped.
hell_hound7
Well if you are already better off then yeah you can afford it. But in low income areas they get hit harder. For instance Wawa in Orlando was starting at $11 an hour to make sandwiches and within 3 months my brother got a .50 cent raise. But they were in a heavily populated area. Keep in mind even government contracted jobs pay like $9 an hour which isnt a huge jump from minimum wage.

I will agree on one thing, yes minimum of $15 is feasible. But at state level. States should decide minimum wage not the government. Because states know what is best for the state. You cant be like Kentucky which has the most poorest counties in america talking about doing a $15 wage. How would that effect their businesses?

@solid_snake95 Don't get me wrong, there are small businesses that deserve to go under. There are Reddit stories about places like that. However there are places that are well run and would be ruined by a federally mandated minimum wage. Namely a bunch of corner stores, comic book/hobby shops, game stores. Let the death come naturally rather than forcing it top down.

I love when this administration proves trump right. I cant imagine hating trump and then following in his footsteps https://youtu.be/ap3wNNOqenY Lets also mention the fact the guatemalans didnt welcome her here. They were saying trump won lmfao another country, even another country knew this election was a fraud.

What do you people think, will congress abolish male-only draft, abolish the draft completely, or will they open the draft to females? (ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)
