You can see how he has begun to distance himself from Armin and Mikasa when they reach the ocean. Armin and Mikasa are still thinking of their childhood dream to see the ocean and explore the world outside the walls, while Eren began to see the ocean as just another wall with the enemies beyond blocking his freedom. Manga spoilers reveal why Eren willing does the crazy shit he does during the declaration of war. Shit is just getting started for anime only fans lol. o7
