How do you guys define love?

I think the world would be better if everyone understood and acknowledged that.^ Goddamn. Whenever you dream about being in a relationship all you focus on is the perks and what good things will come of it. You never think about the bad things, otherwise remain hopeless. Imagine an older person who has lived that life, telling the youth - "this is what happened to me, learn from me" and it falls on deaf ears. Yes... that's love and relationships. Not shitting on them and I know at this time I am lucky because I have one. But it took work to get here and it takes work to stay here. Ergo, @yaasshat the Wise wins.

Again, though, love is not just confined to romance. For instance, I have one guy friend who tells me he loves me and I do the same. It's not about romance, it's about commitment and caring for your fellow human being. Honestly, I had to get used to that, myself. It's not something that men in particular are encouraged to say or do outside of a romantic relationship. It's a very small word with a HUGE implication.

Love is that you care about the person's well-being, and future. Romantic love also has sexual attraction, and chemistry in it.

I look forward to having a kid or kids in the future. ^ even though that’s familial love, it’s still special in its own right. I just hope the world won’t be as twisted when i decide to have them or adopt.
