How do you guys define love?

Essentially, love isn't described by occultists as a feeling. It is a bond. A force in the universe. One which moves us in ways that are not always predictable. One that binds us to others. And one that gives strength in our most tender and vulnerable moments. It has the the power to heal and to wound. It is the closest resonance to divinity. To god. To the primal unity through which all of creation springs forth from. To be in alignment with all of creation, one must be in love with it. Love is the very essence of TRUE magick. True, except for the anime thing(Infatuation is NOT love.). However, what is love? Everyone is defining what it "feels" like, but not what it IS. "Bond", that by far is the best essential definition. If one is a sociopath, are they capable of love, even though they can't "feel"(Trick question.. They are.)? That's what I'm getting at. I have a definition that I feel most can agree on, but most here seem to just barely dance around it. I suppose it's a personal thing, maybe.

The anime thing was a joke. I needed a way to keep people from taking the shit I say too seriously. But yes. I agree. Infatuation is a chemical reaction reaction. Another way I would define love is "service." It is how you objectively "DO" love. Also, y'all gotta get yer hands outa your pants, I was talking about a different kinda service. And also, yes. sociopaths are capable of love. No two are exactly alike in the matter, but generally speaking repressed emotion isn't the same as no emotion. Psychopaths on the other hand? There's still a lot of debate on that one. But it's possible.

Love is like water. Everyone needs it (or wants it), but a lot of people avoid it for other things (soda, alcohol, juice, etc. All forms of water technically, but not the healthiest choice long term). When you find a good water, especially during times of heat, it's refreshing, rejuvenating and brings you to life again. Love ultimately (is water XD) an everlasting and ever present thing, it comes in different forms (soda, juice, alcohol), but each kinds of love (romantic and platonic) are beneficial to all people. Just as there is water everywhere on earth (in the sky, under the Earth), love is everywhere when you choose to look for it. It covers all the Earth and true love is always there (much like water), selflessness and accepting of all forms and shapes (of people) it could be put into (bottles, containers, buckets, etc.) Will we choose to drink of the unhealthy options? Or will we choose the healthier, organic option, even if it's for self-respect and self-love- Okay, I'm gonna stop with this random water metaphor. lol
