so i would say that any identity can be used politically
straight white males included
straight white males have been the default for years and years because they were the ruling class, and made movies to appeal to themselves
but the thing is, capitalism is about money
and straight white male movies just arent as profitable as movies that appeal to various genders, sexualities, and races
its not political so to speak, its capitalism
and its weird that no one realizes this (I guess because it doesn't fit an agenda?)

I would say I'd vote for Zazie Beetz, but she's too young to be president. It is neat her and I were born almost the same day.

Yes, consider these main areas. Business enterprise, education and housing. The problem with business enterprise is that it is extremely hard for a Black man in a city, I'm going to use Detroit as an example. It is almost impossible thanks to property value and lease agreements. Main reason is that backdoor deals made between local governments and land lords that make property values go through the roof meaning that only people with a very large amount of money or have connections could start a business.
Education is another issue that is bad in the US generally speaking. The board of education is directly linked to the teacher's union. In many cases this means that the most useless teacher that is actually doing educational harm to a student cannot be fired thanks to the teacher's union. I was somewhat lucky that ineffective teachers had a single year to teach and if they had poor performance they would be canned by the end of the semester. Bad news is that I had a few teachers that I was stuck with for that particular semester. However in other areas these teachers won't be fired at all. Fact of the matter is that the reason that education is awful in Detroit and other metropolitan areas is because they cannot remove teachers that probably needed to be removed for the better part of a decade.
Housing is another issue. It is similar to that of business enterprise where property values are artificially high thanks to back door corruption. However there are ways around this. You can apply for housing grants, however this usually means sacrificing things that could further yourself. Things such as a career with potential advancement, being a single mother or father, or possibly falsifying information. Combined with business enterprise, sometimes you have to dip your hands into the black market of goods. Not because you wanted to, but because there was no other choice.
My main argument is that in these areas, there is almost no opportunity for the Black community. With poor education, no ability to create a business venture and having to game the housing system in a way that doesn't work for families it is stacked against the Black community in these areas. I say get in some new teachers, close the backdoor deals and encourage individual enterprise and there is a lot that can be done.

Sorry for taking long, I was eating.
Let us start.
If a certain group lays the intellectual foundations of a Nation and society... why wouldn't you expect they become privileged? It is natural, and minorities, bar the French Revolution proved they cannot emancipate themselves without the dominants' help. Like, spitting on the hand that feeds them.
And whenever the minorities (peasants, as you phrased) succeeded, what did they get? An even more heavier hand from an even more unwavering ruler. After all, these was Robespierre and Napoleon. The first, a butcher who murdered peasants and aristocrats alike for just deviating with the Jacobins; the second, a madman that raged against the entirety of Europe that put his own people to adore him. Pretty good things the people have gotten, right?
First, the peasantry by slaying those who disagreed with the Jacobins and Napoleon
Then, the proletariat by slaying and shaming those who opposed the Party
Now, the minorities by shaming and expropriating those who don't bend to their whining
Minorities bettering their lot isn't loathsome for me. It will never be. But being used as cannon fodder is, and that's how history repeats itself. You can see it in your country: people will wait for a dominant to come and change everything for them? What are the dominants? The Democrats and the Republicans. You choose, each four years non-genuine people to stand for your ideals. This is a critique for Conservatives and Liberals alike.
"Ah, but we don't have choices."
You do. Aren't we saying people have unlimited potential to change a Nation? Letting them win is proving you need to be fed by old, white men and women you despise drooling in corruption and retarded ideals.

Let me see if I am getting it.
You are saying that demand for conventional western epics doesn't appeal the people anymore due to their tropes being old? Your answer determines mine.
