Are you a selfless person?

Are you a selfish person or a selfish person, or somewhere in between? Lately with the whole Covid thing this year I've had some time to reflect on my past. I'm one of the selfish people. I have a loner personality where I'm comfortable keeping people at a distance. I rarely go out of my way for them. I haven't done a damn thing for a stranger. But I want to do something different this year. I've decided to grow my hair out long until a cure for covid is found. On that day I will get my hair cut and donate it to cancer patients. Hopefully if I stick to it and grow my hair out long I can inspire other selfish people like me to do something for a stranger that makes the world a little bit better. It's been a shitty year so even the smallest selfless acts can mean a lot to somebody.

In between. I'm selfish for most people in general, but If you're close family or a friend I've had for at least a year I'm pretty selfless. Only towards those rare few though, no other exceptions. I do help strangers with small things though, like give advice sometimes with certain things but das about it

Whenever I listen to someone's problems I have to actively relive their pain to be able to understand them (this is why it's so difficult for me to relate to things I haven't experienced) which means I go through a loooooot of stress and pain very often just to help others I wouldnt say I'm a selfless person, though I'm not selfish either, trading my sanity in exchange of helping others it's second nature to me now~

We can't be selfless to ALL and not all especially hoomans are worthy of being selfless for, so I admit I'm selfish. "我不入地狱，谁入地狱”, this is way too idealistic.普渡众生/Saving all living beings from calamities is just a dream.

I generally have to force myself to be selfish. I'm not the most affluent people, and I'm more altruistic than I care to admit. I think its mostly kinda anger that motivates me. Like no one is around when I need help, so I generally make myself into that person just to spite the world or something. So maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Being INFP is weird.
