FFV introduced Gilgamesh who has made the most appearances in all final fantasy media. It's the same character in each media as well. Cause he got caught in a dimensional warp in V

Although I think V's plot is negligible, gameplay-wise it's the most enjoyable FF I have played.
II and VI are great, I, III and IV are nice, VII and VIII are mediocre and IX restored the series to what it should have remained.
Didn't play much of FFX. But I played it as a kid and I didn't like it that much. But once I better my PC's specs I can download a PS2 emu and play it throughly.

I've only played FFVII - FFXII but out of those 7 was my favorite for 2 reasons. The first and foremost reason FF7 is above the others for me is that it allowed the player to interact with other characters individually, like in the one night you are spending in the chocobo amusement park. You feel like you can have a special connection with another character. I liked Nanaki's Native American theme. His family being completely wiped out parallels how Native Americans are more or less wiped out today. Nobuo Uematsu, need I say more about him? Also, Sephiroth. I'd also say that I like the entire overarching theme of the game. Humans are bleeding the planet dry. Sephiroth draws his meaning from Sefirot, in the speculations of esoteric Jewish mysticism (Kabbala). He basically represents an angelic manifestation of God (Gaea the planet) and the planet trying to reject humankind.

X, never played anything before. Tried playing XII and hated it. Haven't touched it since.
I loved the aeons. Anima was one of my favs... Magus Sisters, Bahamut, Shiva (dem tiddies, dat ass), Yojimbo. THAT'S the one I wish they would remake.
