Shhhhhhhh... It's ok, bae. No need to over explain AND yet under explain at the same time. You're beautiful just the way you are. Again with your young "friends". You do you, but I can only speak of what you put out in public. And believe me, I will. Now, I'll be quiet and not bother you about other things. Interest in the youngins? Yeah... I really don't care if something needs to be derailed for that.

@yaasshat I actually know a lot of children I consider friends. Its simple. Use the scout chaperone rules. Never go off alone with them, make sure there's at least one adult who knows the child somewhere near, and just chill and talk or play games. In HVZ, some of the under 13 year olds really saved my ass a lot of times, so I've grown to really rely on them in frantic situations when shit goes south and firing lines break apart. I never viewed them as kids. Just mutual players in a live action zombie game who know how to stay frosty in stressful situations. And in larp. There's an entire band of barbarians where I go that I often chaperone. And they're good enough roleplayers that I don't really factor their age in when we get on a quest and start making battle plans or arguing the ethics of what to do with a captive goblin or whatever. And if they want to talk about shit that happened at school or home, well, I have plenty of middle school/high school stories still fresh in my mind. I can offer advice where applicable, and still laugh like an idiot without trying to mansplain or use my age for leverage any sort of advantage. That's the key. Just treat them like equals, have fun, and keep an eye out for the people who actually might be unsavory groomers with an ulterior motive. The rest comes with just being friends and being able to relate to them on a human level, which is something I don't seem to have a problem with if they're 80 or 12.

@chocopyro Be real... This ain't even about an adult being friends with a kid. I've no issue with that at all. You've gotta look at the context of what was being said HERE and unless you have a hard time reading (or putting things together over the years), it's not hard to understand why it's disturbing in this particular case.
