How is it like to date an Otaku ?

narumi_hirotaka20
Well actually .. i dunno . New weeb here ya'll
otakueaterd
Well it depends on what type of otaku you want because there is the type of otaku it's like asking what kind of dere do you want.

Dating a sane otaku isn't very different from dating an understanding and open-minded person who accepts his/her partner's otaku hobbies... Probably the two will spend some time playing video games or watching anime/hentai together.

Usually otakus are fine with their partners' playing video games, watching various kinds of anime, collecting 2D lewd art, having 2D waifus/husbandos, being pretty seclusive and shy... If that otaku is pretty knowledgeable in Asian/Japanese studies and Japanese language, his/her partner will have a better understanding of Japan,Japanese and East Asia.

I agree it's with any otaku there are those types that would rather play video games and watch a large amount of anime plus having figurines Plus outfits from multiple anime cosplay. But then there are those otakus that are picky to a high extent that would once you two like the same enemy that they do or cosplay as certain characters when in sexual activity or even do things for them that would have you uncomfortable. there is certain levels of an otaku when it comes to dating and it depends on like I said before the dairy that you choose because just like with an anime character there is a certain level of where they would it be it's okay character or just a character that would be cool to read about but horrible to date.

is this sort of complications ? I mean dating us ? Otakus ?
hakutaku
Dating is complicated.Dating anime fans or otakus who resort to anime/manga/games to escape from reality is more complicated! To have a stable relationship with a devout otaku, the partner had better let them feel the real world may be more interesting than 2D..Sexual desire itself won't help with maintaining a relationship for a long time. Otakus are also human, unlike robots people make in this era, humans have their own feelings, ideas, thoughts, fetishes, preferences, dislikes, behavior, insecurities..One individual VS another individual. All of those may be difficult for their partners to deal with under certain circumstances and vice versa.

I don't think it should be much different than a normal person. Their interests and hoobies are different, they might be more introverted and don't go outside too much but that's about it I guess? In case the otaku is more into the virtual world, you need to try harder to bring them outside. I stay inside a lot but I'm easy to get outside, I dunno.
momoichi
what definition of otaku are you going with? the stereotypical hikki neet kind? otherwise theyr just normal people with common interests xD like dating a fan of anything
yaasshat
