@cringe I agree, I was referring mostly just to terms with severe background of hatred like racial terms. I agree, otaku and nerd I kind of look at it as a badge of Pride though if I was in Japan I don't know, I might look at that a little differently but otaku has always pretty much been a badge of Pride here in the US.
