Wilg from a name of a girl in a book I liked (can't remember the book anymore), zilver is dutch for silver and I added that because I like the look of the metal silver and really enjoyed the books from Gabriel King about cats. In these books there is a cat that looks like quicksilver (mercury). So my name is a combination of silver that I like and a girls name. But there is more to it. If you translate wilg to english it means willow and I find willows beautiful trees. So now my name is Zilverwilg what the dutch name is for the tree Elaeagnus commutata (latin name). I enjoy and respect the nature, so I think it fits nicely. PS: I love cats.
