Random thoughts...

Finished Avatar this morning. Was it perfect? No. Was it as bad as the other Netflix live adaptations? No. Problems: people's expectations, 8 episodes for book 1 which was 24 cartoon episodes If they had done all of Book 1 I think it would have more fans, more people talking positivity. Too many people in their feels about Aang not acting like a kid or sledding on penguins. This cartoon came out 20+ years ago and this live action is made for those same kids who are now adults. I think the sacrifices they made to make the story fit was good. I just wish there was more. Kiyoshi's village spans 2-3 episodes. It's condensed to one. Same with Bumi and the Earth capitol. It just needed more episodes, 10 at a minimum. But 12 would have did it justice. Notice a lot of people were fans of Iroh and Zuko actors. They honestly had to grow on me. Especially Iroh since he's my favorite character.

I must be really casual because I enjoy both and consider them to be separate. As for the M. Night adaptation, we never speak of that one.
