Anonymous Talks

I was inspired by a Facebook page our college has for students to post confessions anonymously. Reading some of the posts, I think it really helped us to vent and talk about thoughts that otherwise may remain hidden. In some cases, it also helped people get advice and support. The barrier to talk about anything is a lot lower on MO, due to its anonymous nature. However, I guess there can still be barriers, such as not wanting to cause concern among friends, or turn away people you want to be friends with. I will now bombard the site with links and adverts to stuff you dont need like boob enlargments and magic pills that makes sex better than ever or maybe I will set you up with that hanson nigerion prince that wants to give you all his money in exchange for your bank details. maybe you want me to invite my good friend Mr. Troll to come ridicule everyone and change the posts made in this acount? as you can see having an open acount for anyone to use can lead to a lot of bad things and i would sugest closing it down befor that happens.

To be honest, people who want to be anonymous here either already have a second account or use an account with no personal info, so they can already say and do whatever they like. It's a nice idea, but not something the site really needs. The above points about the account getting hijacked are also good ones.

Thanks for the suggestions and warnings xD I also see that it's not really a good idea for this site :/ but I might as well leave it here as an experiment for now. shutting it down won't shut down trolls anyways ヽ(ー_ー )ノ Besides if it gets taken over by trolls mod can suspend it just like any other account. right Mr. Spam? :P
