@yaasshat I am right now but my buddy is talking competitively. It's like football players once they turn 30 everyone expects them to retire or go til 40. If I could do anything differently in life I would go against my mom 10 years ago and went into physical contact sports. Always had something in me that ticks when I'm playing anything when I was younger where I don't think I just acted. Imma think on it before I'm 30 seriously. Give it a year. Also I was born with a thicker skull than most people my family and doctor told me.

I just got done with the agonizing process of sorting through 2 years of photos and videos on my phone before it gets wiped. After 5 years my phone has lost 90% of it's value. Time to switch to an iphone max. After 5 years iphone actually did the things that I wanted them to so I'm finally switching back after 10 years.

Circumstances can not always be changed, but mindsets can. I speak as someone going through clinical depression (Linked with other things... Such is life. Am I right?lol) for damn near thirty years. I'm almost always caught up in some sort of funk, but I know in my heart of hearts that the phrase "Fake it until you make it." is often one of the most useful things to learn. While that does not magically make everything better, it most certainly will give one renewed perspective and hopefully a more positive outlook through the storms of life.

I bought a new SmartTV today and that got me thinking about this:
I bought my first TV in 2008 along with my PS3, a 42 inch Plasma Panasonic. No LED, no SmartTV but already fullHD. Worked for 10+ years... Eventually the image became messed up and didn't turn on anymore. At this point I was using ChromeCast so it was basically a SmartTV I guess...
2016 - 8 years after buying the Panasonic I bought a curved 46 inch Samsung with LED technology, SmartTV etc because the Panasonic was getting old, but still working.
This Samsung's normal price was rather expensive because it was curved but I bought it on sale (almost 50% off) since that model was almost 1 year old and a new model was already being sold. She lasted 8 years, 2 less than the Panasonic. A few weeks ago some black rectangles started to appear on screen and then some capacitors explored... Nasty. I'm planning on getting her fixed if not too expensive.
2024 (today) - again 8 years later after the first Samsung I bought a new one. This one is 55 inches but flat. Apparently they don't sell curved TVs anymore around here, wich is a shame... (did curved TVs fade out?). I really got used to the curved one. It doesn't matter what angle you look at it, it always look like you're looking straight.
But what amazed me was that this new one basically is only bigger, has 4k support and has a faster operating system, as the old one was getting a bit slow and apps weren't getting updates. But image quality? The 2016 one is the same as this 2024 model, if not better...!
I wonder if this one will last at least as long as the old one... Probably not.
