What attracts you to certain animes?

What do you find attracts you to certain animes that you like? For me, i'd have to say that I'm a sucker for unique concepts and styles. If an anime has a cool and unique concept and style it immediately gets points for me!

Real life is sad and boring. Anything fantasy.. Anything that maes me think what my life would be there. Anything thats a good escape.

Dark themes (psychological stuff) A lil just a lil blood and gore (maybe a lot) Action/Martial Arts Ecchi Demons Vampires

Comedy Romance Dark Adventurous Sad Really I'll watch anything. A big part of anime though is the style and artwork. If it's not to my taste I'll still give it a try, but it won't be guaranteed I'll stay focused

The more blood, gore, and just overall fucked up situations something has. will make me turn to that anime in an instant as long as it has a decent storyline

I think number one is finding something you can relate to in the serie. For most part a character. Trying to put myself in someone else´s shoes always makes me understand the series better. Or be more terrified in case it is brutal, or sad. if you don´t care about the character, Certain events might not affect you as much as it should have. Well an interesting sypnosis is one part too.
