What would you consider manly?

I always get some hilarious responses when I ask this question. http://img03.deviantart.net/fd03/i/2010/333/9/a/abe_lincoln_riding_a_grizzly_by_sharpwriter-d33u2nl.png

The song, "I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan.

Personally I think a guy seems more manly if he doesn't follow the norm. Guys that go against the normal definition of manly by choice; like guys with long hair, or maybe a less traditional fashion sense. Somehow I get a more manly impression from them, like they don't feel the need to conform to society, which shows inner strength. I don't know what I'm talking about ahahaha... (^_^')

I think it's manly to cry than keeping it all locked it takes a true man to let out his emotions not be macho and tuff

@Rainbow LOL that reminded me of Team Four Star @Mieke I act like a hipster have long hair and generally look like a girl. So does that make me manly? xD @Horror I agree. But the sad thing is that most men are only capable of that when drunk.

Someone on another board was complaining that the Splatoon ads were to kid focused and made up new lyrics. They're the most manly thing I've seen lately: You're a MAN now! You have BALLS now! You're a man! Not a kid! Got a gun! That shoots blood! Rated M now! Watch some football! Have some sex now! No you're not! Insecure! Buy our game now! TESTOSTERONE! SUPER MACHO! P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-PENIS!

There are a few forms of manliness in psychology but I don't recall them all. The 'macho' is the one many think of, the muscular brute. To me manliness does require a degree of physical prowess but must have an indomitable character and wit to match.
