Unpopular opinions

Idk how others will feel about this but I get tired of everything I have to do being harder cause of unnecessary safety regulations and dumb rules for the small majority of people without enough common sense to know the smart or common sense ways to go about things, this world needs to quit catering to dumb people so much.

This reminds me of my years on a fishing boat back when I was 14. There were places that you were to stand and not to stand. You stand in a do not stand area then you are probably going to get hit by a piece of equipment and end up in the water. Get hit hard enough and you might end up unconscious in the water which is basically a death sentence. The good news is that nobody stood in these areas and we had no issues, but the moral of the story is if you're stupid then you die.

wolfneko @wolfneko I guess here's some backlash for you First, just curious, excluding covid, what are all the "safety regulations and dumb rules" that are making your life so much harder to live? Second, what animals have "evolved" by leaving the weak behind to die off? That's called survival of the fittest, not evolving as a species. Huge difference. Humans don't live in a society where "dumb people" without "enough common sense" get left behind to die. We progress at the pace of the lowest denominator. And when I look around at all the cool shit we have and all the amazing things we can do, I think we're doing pretty damn well. And these "dumb rules" as you put them, aren't put in place in total to keep "dumb people" alive, they're also enforced for the safety of OTHERS. I'd like to drive as fast as I want on the highway. But I can't because I have to follow some dumb rule and can only drive 65mph. I mean, I understand inertia and can easily handle driving 90mph, so why does that dumb rule of having a speed limit have to exist just because there's some dumb people out there that don't have the common sense to not crash into OTHER people that are driving with common sense?

We're at a point in society where safety labels are more for liability than for actual safety. Please do not use industrial super glue to stick a cup on your face. o7
