Lately, I've been trying some Japanese food and was wondering what some of your favorite Japanese foods/dishes are that you've tried? Any you've tried to make? Mmmmm..I really liked gyoza, gyudon, and of course pocky (lol).

I've made <b>"Mabo Toufu" with white rice</b> & <b>"Okonomiyaki"</b>. When I want a nice balance of rice and meat, I go with my Mabo Toufu dish but when I want a <I>"heathier pizza"</I> I love making okonomiyaki. You can change the toppings to almost anything that will grill! Yummy!

well beside pocky I would say okonomiyaki , even though it was and infamous experience, reminded me of a coney omlete

I've made mochi and dango. I really want to learn to make some bigger dishes but I live in a small town and its hard to find ingredients to recipes.

I wish to try the dish curry and rice, cause I see it in a lot of anime. So I wonder what it really tastes like, or how spicy it really is.

I'm lucky that I live very close to Little Tokyo. They have a huge range of ingredients to be used in so many recipes, and their variety is crazy. In the seafood section of the shop Mitsuwa is the most extensive collection of different edible sea organisms I've ever seen outside of a museum.

Oh awesome! You frequent Little Tokyo as well? I've been trying out most of the places to eat around there since I pass through there almost once a week. The places I come back to have been Daikokuya and Orochan. Recommend any places there?
