Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying Nothing much going on, just running out of food and money again, but God continues to show himself faithful and true. Our eldest brother was given a cookout meal to take back home, so he shared some of that yesterday with the family, and our neighbor gave our dad $50 for looking/fixing her heater, so we ate some rice today.

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying What about you? I saw the news about your sister, Congratulations to her! I pray the pregnancy is better than what the doctors report, because God is the ultimate physician.

Gabriel @gabriel_true Like yourself she struggles financially too. As a single mom working full time it's barely enough to scrape by in this economy raising a 15 year old. Her boyfriend tries to help out, but he's been reduced with his hours at work as his company has been cutting the budget. How about yourself. Are you or your siblings able to obtain any part-time work even if it's something small like Dollar Tree or Walmart? Just something close by that's within walking distance that provides some kind of income for food and necessities?

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying God's taking care of her, and I hope there's a breakthrough soon with her boyfriend's (and if she's working as well) job(s). And no. Our dad hasn't worked in years due to being on disability after a chemical mishap at the job he worked sometime in the 2000s, and our mom hasn't worked because she wanted to stay home with the kids, but now that we're all grown it still doesn't matter XD, our grandma who has dementia is living with us now so our mom is her primary caretaker while me and my sisters also help get her dressed or use the bathroom.

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying I can't go into too much detail now, but there's not really anything just 'walking distance' here, and our parents would be cautious letting us work in the one place there is a Dollar Tree cause people act ratchet over here and shoot out a lot. Plus, God has seen it as a part of His will that the family simply be still right now...so no work for us, we're just called to have faith and trust Him, and He's been providing as always :3.

Gabriel @gabriel_true My own mom works for Dollar Tree and I myself moonlit there last summer. Sometimes people have to do what they have to do when there is no food on the table. God gives us the ability to take action when need be. Saint Paul speaks on that very topic throughout the New Testament that one of working age ought to do what they can to provide for family. I have had to assist my sister from time to time and there is no shame in that. Likewise I've been working since I was 16. I was expected to go to school and pull a part time job to pay for myself. Though my father and mother both worked and we weren't completely destitute I was raised to earn my keep. So that's the perspective I'm from. Your situation more than likely has other factors, but even as we speak my sister is teaching my nephew at 15 that he's going to need to start working within the next year to help pay the bills especially now with another child on the way. I agree with that decision. It helps him build character as well as responsibility. In the end, I will keep my faith that opportunities open up for your family!

Floral Mommy ® @wei_ying We can't work when there's been instruction and command not to go out, then we'd be disobedient and it's been rough at times, we don't need to make it worse. Obedience is better than sacrifice after all, but you are right about there being multiple factors, the only reason I haven't spoken about those factors is because God hasn't allowed me to yet...but let's just say it's been a wild three years (since 2024) lol. My whole family's life has kind of been one of us being consecrated and-in all honesty-isolated from people, but God has given us words about the reason before – again, things that I don't think I have permission to speak yet, cause God's work is not yet done in this house. But, don't worry about any of us! God is the opportunity for my family and I, we just need to always choose Him.
